Jasmine: To be honest, I never expected to be in this industry for as long as I have, but over the years, I’ve genuinely grown to love it. What inspires me most is seeing the joy on our clients’ faces when they find their perfect look. Knowing that they trust us to be part of one of the most important days of their lives is something I never take lightly. That trust, and the happiness we help create, is what keeps me passionate every single day. Whether I’m helping a bride, a groom, or the whole wedding party, being part of their journey is so rewarding.

Jasmine: What sets us apart is that we’re a full-service bridal and formalwear salon right here in Greenville, SC. We’ve got attire for just about any special occasion—bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride looks, tuxedo rentals, pageant dresses, quinceañera gowns, you name it! We don’t just stop at offering dresses—we have an in-house alterations team with over 20 years of experience working with designers and creating custom gowns to ensure everything fits perfectly. We even make custom gowns for those who want something truly one-of-a-kind. Plus, with an on-site makeup artist and hair stylist, we’re a one-stop shop for everything a client needs to feel their best on their big day.

Can you tell us about the Dimitra Designs team? Who helps clients during appointments, and how do they contribute to the experience?

Jasmine: Our team is the heart of Dimitra Designs, and I’m so proud to be part of it! We’ve around 25 dedicated staff members, including consultants, customer service specialists, and an exceptional alterations team. The store is organized into departments, including Bridal, Prom, Tuxedos, Pageant, and Quinceañera, ensuring every client receives specialized attention. During bridal appointments, we senior consultants take the lead. We bring our knowledge, experience, and a great deal of passion to ensure that each appointment feels personal and exceptional. We treat everyone like family, and that’s what makes the experience so special.

What’s a fun or unique fact about Dimitra Designs that clients might not know?

Jasmine: Oh, here’s a good one—Dimitra Designs is truly full-service in a way you might not expect! In addition to offering gowns, tuxedos, alterations, and beauty services, Dimitra is also a licensed wedding officiant. She can do simple elopements or intimate ceremonies right here in Greenville. Isn’t that amazing? It’s just another way we help couples bring their wedding vision to life from start to finish.

Jasmine: When clients book with us, they’re in for an unforgettable experience! We roll out the red carpet with expert guidance from our trained consultants. We treat every guest like family, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere filled with care, support, and an abundance of love. Jasmine: I start by really listening to what matters most to them. Even if they’re not sure what they’re looking for, they’ll share little details—like a vibe they love or a color they’re drawn to. That helps me guide them toward something that feels true to who they are. I believe the key is to honor their individuality and bring their vision to life through thoughtful, personal attention. I love helping them discover a look that excites them!

Dimitra Designs offers in-house alterations—how does that enhance the experience for your clients, and what can they expect?

Jasmine: Our in-house alterations team brings a great deal of convenience and peace of mind! They’ve got years of experience working on designer gowns, and they do all their magic right here in our Greenville store. After a client selects their gown or tux, we take precise measurements and begin work to ensure a perfect fit. It’s especially great for out-of-town visitors, as it saves them the extra trip. They can soak in the excitement of their big day while we handle the details.

What’s your favorite part about helping a client find their perfect look?

Jasmine: My favorite moments are when a bride says she’s saving her tears for the wedding, but she gets so swept up in the moment with us that the tears come anyway—it’s the sweetest thing! But what gets me is when the father of the bride tears up seeing his little girl in her gown. That’s when I know we’ve made a memory that’ll last a lifetime, and it just melts my heart every time.

What do you love about working with clients celebrating at The Venue at Cherokee Valley?

Jasmine: I love working with clients who celebrate at The Venue at Cherokee Valley because many of them are local to the Greenville and Travelers Rest area. It feels like we’re all part of the same big community! We get to swap stories, share experiences, and celebrate such a special milestone together right here at home. It makes every appointment feel so personal and meaningful, and I love being part of their journey in such a beautiful setting.

What are some of the biggest formalwear trends you’re seeing for 2025, Jasmine?

Jasmine: I’m so excited about the trends for 2025! For brides, the Basque waistline is making a comeback, and it’s a truly romantic and timeless touch that I adore. For grooms, we’re seeing more unique and expressive colors—no more just black or navy! Couples are letting their personalities shine through, and it’s so much fun to see that in every detail, whether it’s for the bride, groom, or wedding party.

What advice would you give clients just starting their search for wedding attire?

Jasmine: Start with the wedding gown, y’all! Even if the other pieces aren’t set yet, finding your dress is such a special first step. It sets the whole tone for your day—your style, your colors, your vibe. Once you find the gown that feels like you, everything else falls into place so naturally. Then you can easily coordinate the wedding party’s looks.

What’s one detail about choosing formalwear that clients often overlook but can make a significant impact?

Jasmine: Many people overlook the beauty of simplicity. Brides sometimes worry a gown might be too plain, but I always say less is more! A clean, simple, and classic design boasts a timeless elegance that never goes out of style. Pick something refined and effortless, and you’ll never look back and wonder if you made the right choice—it’ll always feel perfect.

Can you share one of your favorite stories from a client you’ve worked with, Jasmine?

Jasmine: Oh, I’ve got so many, but one that sticks with me is a bride from around 2018 or 2019. She was from Hawaii, and her fiancé had proposed to her underwater—with a photographer capturing the moment beneath the waves! The sweetest part? He didn’t even know how to swim. She said she’s pretty sure he took lessons to make that moment happen. That kind of love truly resonates with me, and helping her find her dream gown for such a beautiful story was truly special.

What’s the most unique or creative formalwear look you’ve helped a client choose?

Jasmine: One of my favorite looks was for a bride who wanted full camouflage—camo everything! She dreamed of her whole wedding party in camo, and believe it or not, one of our designers had a gorgeous camouflage gown. She picked it with an orange sash for a pop of color, and we styled all the guys in Mossy Oak. It was such a blast, and we brought her vision to life perfectly. It just shows how much fun it is to embrace a client’s unique style!

Jasmine: If I could dream up a wedding party look for The Venue at Cherokee Valley, I’d go for something classic, elegant, and inspired by nature. That venue is stunning, with its breathtaking mountain views and Southern charm, so I’d want the attire to blend right in. I’m thinking soft, earthy tones, flowing fabrics, and timeless shapes—a delicate, romantic gown with subtle lace for the bride, a tailored suit in a warm taupe or sage for the groom, and mix-and-match dresses and tuxes in muted greens and creams for the wedding party. It’d feel elevated but so effortless, just like the venue itself.
